He graduated from Bedford Stonecutters High School and later enlisted in the United States Air Force at the age of 21, where he served as a Staff Sergeant. His military service helped shape the discipline and skills that guided him throughout his life.
After completing his service, Brazzell built a long and successful career as an electrical engineer with Otis Elevator Company. He dedicated many years to the company before retiring in 1992. Those who knew him say he approached both his career and personal life with humility, determination, and a strong sense of responsibility.
Charles was also known for his strong Christian faith and deep devotion to his family. He shared many loving years with his wife, Shirley Ann (Brewer) Brazzell, who preceded him in death in 2008. Throughout his life, he quietly supported charitable causes and believed strongly in helping others whenever he could.
Outside of work, Brazzell enjoyed spending time at his cabin on Mystic Lake, where he loved fishing and appreciating the peace of nature. Family members say those quiet moments reflected his gentle and humble personality.
