Mary Susan Hardin Obituary- Death: Mary Susan Hardin, lovingly known as Susan, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of Monday, March 9, 2026. She was born on Wednesday, October 18, 1972, in Dalton, Georgia, to the late Eugene “Lamar” Hardin and Mary Rogers Strain.
Susan was preceded in death by her father and grandparents: James Herbert Rogers, Will “Frances” Rogers, Ralph Wayne Hardin, and Nola Renfro Hardin, as well as her aunt Carol Rogers Snell and uncle Fred Wood Snell.
She is survived by her loving mother, Mary Lucinda Rogers Strain, her brothers William “Bill” (Lee) Hardin and David Rogers (Shawna) Hardin, her sister Amy Hardin (Bobby) Leonardi, and her uncle James “Jim” Herbert (Karen) Rogers.
Susan’s legacy continues through her nieces and nephews: Lilly, Miles, and Davis Hardin of Signal Mountain, Tennessee; Emme, Valerie, and Brooks Hardin of Dalton, Georgia; and Addy, Avery, and Reese Leonardi of Lexington, South Carolina. She is also remembered fondly by numerous cousins and extended family.
A private graveside service will be held, where Susan will be laid to rest next to her father at West Hill Cemetery.
