I remember the presence of Joanne with much love and admiration. She always called her classroom her cathedral. It suited her because of her devotion and care and concern to all of her students. Joanne moved out of a heart full of generosity, joy and compassion. We were both from Northern Ontario and valued our love for life in the real north. She use to say imagine thinking that Barrie was the north. Teachers are the treasures of our society and her love for teaching was contagious by her students but also all of her colleagues. And she was fun to be around. Remembering fondly….. Love to you Joanne. Nickie
